Congress of the European Society of Cardiology (2019)
From 30.08 to 04.09.2019, the 2019 Congress of the European Society of Cardiology was held in Paris, France. This event was the largest forum of cardiologists in the world, which was attended by more than 30,000 delegates from many countries of Europe, America and Asia, including Georgia. During the congress, more than 500 scientific sessions were held on current issues of modern cardiovascular medicine. 5 new guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology were presented at the congress: "chronic coronary syndrome", dyslipidemia", "acute pulmonary embolism", "supraventricular tachycardia", "diabetes, prediabetes and cardiovascular diseases". A special section for the Society of Cardiologists of Georgia was allocated in the exhibition space of the Congress. Vice President of the European Society of Cardiology Prof. J. Luis Zamorano and the president of our society Prof. A. Aladashvili Sakamiani meeting, issues of future cooperation between the societies were discussed. The current scientific session was accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) and participating delegates were awarded 32 European CME credit points (ECMEC®s).
